No luck for actor Richard Gomez in politics again. The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has disqualified him from running for Congress in Ormoc, Leyte due to residency issues.
Richard failed to proved that he is a legitimate resident of Ormoc. A candidate running for local position need a one-year residence required by the law.
In 2001, Gomez ran as party-list representative for Mamamayang Ayaw sa Droga (MAD) but the group was disqualified and he also run for Senator but he failed.
