Rihanna has secured the role for the upcoming action-adventure "Battleship", based from Hasbro's naval combat board game.
The 22 year-old singer is joining Friday Night Lights' Taylor Kitsch and True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard.
"Battleship" is about a naval fleet which will battle for planet survival against a superior enemies. Kitsch and Skarsgard will play as bothers.
This live action movie will be helm by Peter Berg for the May 2012 release.
