"Are You The Next Big Star?" will start on May 16

With the entry of GMA's new reality-talent show "Are You The Next Big Star?", the second season of Pinoy Idol (American Idol franchise) is definitely down in the drain.

This new all-out singing competition will now be looking the "next big name" having the total package and it will be open to amateur and professional singers as long she/he has no existing record deal or album which were release in 2008 to present.

The new GMA-7 show will be hosted by Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez and singer-host Keempee de Leon.

Giving their guidance and will share their expertise are five judges that includes musical director and arranger Mon Faustino, producer/composer Danny Tan, vocal coach and singing group The Company founding member Annie Quintos, singer Randy Santiago and Philippines' Concert Queen Pops Fernandez.

"Are You The Next Big Star?" will debut on May 16, after Pacquiao's Pinoy Records.
