GMA Network artist Richard Gutierrez and his two companions was in a car accident early Friday morning along Tagaytay-Sta. Rosa Rd., Silang, Cavite. One of the actor's assistant is confirmed dead.
Driving a Nissan Skyline GTR sports car, the actor may have over-speed while traversing a semi-curved road before crashing onto a post.
According to the Police, "the area where the mishap took place is “accident-prone" as it is near a blind curve."
The "Zorro (local version)" star is currently admitted at Asian Hospital in Alabang.

According Richard's sister Ruffa Gutierrez in a text message via ABS-CBN, "the airbag of Richard's vehicle, a Nissan Skyline GTR, saved his life.Reportedly, the actor undergo cornea operation because some pieces of glass went in his eye and currently he is now out of danger but still traumatized.
She said Richard underwent a two-hour operation and is currently in the recovery room. The actress also revealed that her brother sustained cuts and bruises all over his face.
She said that the actor has a long deep cut near the eye and eyebrow which required more than 10 stitches. Small cuts on his face were also stitched."
