The chemistry of Denzel Washington and director Tony Scott will be tested again if the negotiation push through for the upcoming train-havoc movie, “Unstoppable”. With their previous work engagement, it is almost a done deal.
The two works together in the films "Crimson Tide," "Man on Fire," "Deja Vu," and the recently completed train-based thriller, "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3", due out on June 12.
According to Variety, "Denzel Washington is negotiating to star in drama "Unstoppable," the Tony Scott-directed that 20th Century Fox has on track for a fall production start.Synopsis: A runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals. Pits an engineer and his conductor in a race against time. They're chasing the runaway train in a separate locomotive and need to bring it under control before it derails on a curve and causes a spill of combustible liquids and poisonous gas from wiping out a city.
Washington would play an experienced engineer who jumps in a locomotive with a young conductor to chase down a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals. Mark Bomback wrote the script, which is loosely inspired by a true event.
