"Tropic Thunder" kicks off "The Dark Knight" at the No.1 spot

It takes three action heroes to bump off the cape crusader. The funny combination of Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black in "Tropic Thunder" ended the four weeks reigned of "The Dark Knight".

DreamWorks-Paramount comedy "Tropic Thunder" debuted at No. 1 with $26 million in ticket sales while Bale's "The Dark Knight" got $16.8 million.

Iron Man Robert Downey Jr. scored his second No. 1 movie.

In "Tropic Thunder," Downey, Stiller and Black star as self-absorbed Hollywood actors caught up in a real-life battle with narco-terrorists while filming a war movie in Southeast Asia.
