Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson announced their expecting their first child

Newlyweds Ashlee and Pete Wentz have confirmed that they are expecting their first child on Pete Wentz's website, friendsorenemies.com.

"While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family."

Meanwhile, Ashlee also confirmed that she will officially take husband Pete Wentz’s name.

She make it clear that “privately she’ll go by Ashlee Wentz and professionally she’ll be Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.”
