David Archuleta's dad has been officially banned from "American Idol," TMZ reports.
James Jeffrey "Jeff" Archuleta, father of American Idol season 7 top contender and now in the final three David Archuleta is in the hot seat. Jeff is completely a pain in the ass, according to reports.
David's dad is interfering with the entire production and he also harass the producers, the band, vocal coaches and even other contestants. He was described as "stage dad from hell".
In 2003, Their is also reports that Jeff was also banned on the set when David joined "Star Search". The guards in the said show actually had a picture of Jeff's mug hanging in the guard shack in case he tried sneaking in.

The final straw came this week, when Jeff wanted to change the lyrics to David's first song, "Stand By Me." Jeff insisted on adding a verse from Sean Kingston's hit, "Beautiful Girls." Producers sent him an e-mail telling him the lyrics could not be changed. They were beyond pissed when David sang the song with Kingston's lyrics during the live show.
