Marimar remake in the Philippines hits 39.3% rating and The Four Guardian Gods of the King 20.4% debut rating in Korea

Impressive rating from two different drama series in two different countries.

The remake of a Thalia series Marimar is now being done by GMANetwork contract star Marian Rivera shows good numbers and impressive showing. The 39.3 rating surpasses the pilot rating of 38.3%. The only close competitor is "Impostora" at 36.2% but the good news is both of this two show are from the same network.

The mega-drama "Taewangsasingi" (The Four Guardian Gods of the King) featuring Korean W star Bae Yong-joon, had more than 20% of viewers tuning. The Korean TV drama has a budget of $46 million. The drama, which took 18 months to produce, contains elaborate CG effects that viewers have compared to those in "The Lord of the Rings" or local hit "D-War."
Bae, who became a regionwide phenomenon in his previous TV drama "Winter Sonata" (2002), the series stars actress Moon So-ri ("Oasis"), Choi Min-soo ("Sword in the Moon"), Lee Ji-ah and Park Sang-won.
The high level of interest in the first episode of "Four Guardian Gods" bodes well for its future performance.
