GMA & QTV 11 bagged 2 Golds in 2009 New York Festivals

GMA network and sister station QTV 11 bagged 2 gold medals (1 each station) n the International Television Broadcasting Awards of the 2009 New York Festivals.

For GMA, Jiggy Manicad's 24 Oras coverage of Cpl. Angelo Abeto, who died in a mortar explosion last year won him a Gold World Medal in Coverage of an Ongoing Story category.

For Biography/Profiles Category, QTV-11's won the gold in the special episode “Inno Sotto: A Special Fashion Documentary".

Aside from the two gold, it also won one silver medal, two bronze medals and seven finalist certificate.
