Filipina girl power gave an impressive finish in the fourth edition of the Women's World Cup of golf in Sun City, South Africa.
Dorothy Delasin and Jennifer Rosales of team Philippines finish with 7-under 65 and their ahead by two strokes against South Korean duo Ji-Yai Shin and Eun-Hee Ji,
Delasin said, "This win was all about the teamwork and the team spirit Jennifer and I enjoyed over the three days and it's a win we want to dedicate to the people of the Philippines".
“This is a very big day for all Filipinos around the world and it will definitely be good for golf in the Philippines,” Rosales said.
Defending champions Julieta Granada and Celeste Troche finished ninth on 207, a stroke behind hosts South Africa (Ashleigh Simon and Laurette Maritz), Wales (Becky Morgan and Becky Brewerton) and Canada (Lorie Kane and Alena Sharp) who tied for sixth on 10-under 206.
Delasin and Rosales shared US$280,000 for first place.
