Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" franchise delivered an overwhelming success in its book series and big screen adaptation. Now, the fame will continue in the upcoming comic book "Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Volume 1".
Yen Press will publish the new graphic novel on March 16, with a first printing of 350,000 copies. EW got the exclusive preview cover and sample art page.
Artist Young Kim gave a nice artistic approach on Meyer's novel which is favorable manga version of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) with a much softer look on Edward Cullen (Rob Pattinson).
Meyer shared her careful involvement on this new project, "I was definitely involved. I didn’t do the original “script” for the book, so to speak. But when I got the dialogue with the images, I did a lot of tinkering. In a couple of places, I asked for missing scenes to be inserted. For example, the conversation in the car that Bella and Edward have after she faints in Biology".
