The recipient of the Philippine Association of the Record Industry's "Dangal ng Musikang Pilipino award" goes to Lea Salonga. It was given during the e 21st Awit Awards ceremony held at the Eastwood Central Plaza in Libis, Quezon City, November 26.
The sad new is she was unable to attend the said ceremony because she is currently in Hong Kong for the musical play, Cinderella.
A video message was sent in the ceremony thanking PARI for the recognition.
This year's event was hosted by hosted by MYX VJ Nikki Gil and balladeer Christian Bautista.
