In a statement Britney says, “MTV has long played an important role in my career,” and added “How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMA’s? I’m excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated.”
Still no information on what will Britney do on the opening show.
In MTV awards history, Britney has 16 nominations under her belt with no win. This year, she is nominated for Video of the Year(Piece of Me), Best Pop Video, and Best Female Video.
2008 VMAs on Sunday, September 7 at 9pm.
