The kapamilya network will premiere a new show that will tackles and educate viewers in animals and environment conservation. ABS-CBN named this show Matanglawin.
This new educational show will be hosted by Kim Atienza (viewers know him as Kuya Kim). Kim is the anchor of the weather segment in TV Patrol. He is also the son of former Mania Mayor Lito Atienza and now he is being dubbed as the "Steve Irwin" of the Philippines.
Like the GMA show "Born to be Wild", both shows will promote environmentalism to Pinoy viewers.
I just disagree in one aspect, No disrespect to Kim Atienza but comparing Steve Irwin to him is way to out. Steve Irwin's achievement is a mile away than Kim.
The show will debut on Monday, March 24, 2008.
