After the Heroes star attended the Nickelodeon’s Kids' Choice Award 2008, Hayden Panettiere and her advocacies for the welfare for the animals was honored at the 2008 Genesis Awards on Saturday night in Beverly Hills.
Hayden in her classic black mini-dress receives The Wyler Award for her achievement in promoting public awareness for the conservation of animals especially her role in stopping the cruelty against whale and dolphin slaughter.
The Hollywood Office of the Humane Society of the United States created and produced the Genesis Award for recognizing the contribution of entertainment media and news agencies for showcasing animal protection issues.
Human Society Senior Director Beverly Kaskey said, “We feel Hayden is a very worthy successor to Sir Paul McCartney, last year’s Wyler Award recipient. She’s an inspiring example to her generation, using her compassion, courage and celebrity to help animals in a very effective way.”
