Gong Li's "Kick the Habit" campaign

Chinese actress Gong Li helps to spread environment awareness and conservation.

Gong Li was given the title of Global Environmental Ambassador by United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) for their environment advocacies. They urge the public to give up bad habits that are harmful to the environment and to reduce the discharge of carbon dioxide.

She done a photo shoot for environmental protection campaign posters, which will be officially released on World Environment Day on 5th of June. Two more personalities posed for this campaign Grammy Award-winning Beninese singer and songwriter Angelique Kidjo and Virgin Atlantic Airways chief Richard Branson.

Included in the poster, Gong Li says: "I am Gong Li. In today's fast-developing world, the way we produce and consume is creating vast amounts of waste. This trend will become a serious threat to the environment if we don't stop it. In China, I have submitted a proposal on environmental protection to the public, and I call on citizens of all countries to work together with their leaders to protect the environment."
