ABS-CBN failed to get TRO against Willie Revillame's New show; Charo Santos-Concio released Statement on court's decision

Willie Revillame won the first round of his legal battle against the Kapamilya network after ABS-CBN failed to get a temporary restraining order (TRO) stopping the airing of the TV5 new show "Willing Willie” hosted by Willie Revillame.

Judge Luisito Cortez of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 84 said ABS-CBN "failed to discharge the burden of proving that there exists an urgent need for the issuance of a TRO to prevent great or irreparable injury that it might suffer."

According to the court, ABS-CBN's P486 million damage suit filed against Willie Revillame will continue and he must post P426 million million bond for any damage incurred by ABS-CBN by the airing of Revillame's show.

ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio issued a statement after the court did not grant the company's petition for a TRO.
