American Idol's upcoming tenth season will return to the three-judge format and they just announced that aspiring singers can now audition online as 19 Entertainment, FremantleMedia and FOX have partnered with MySpace.
According to AI's press release, "Beginning today through October 6, hopefuls between the ages of 15 and 28 (as of July 15, 2010) will have the opportunity to submit an audition video exclusively on MySpace at www.myspace.com/americanidol.""Entrants should demonstrate their stellar singing ability by performing one of the songs from the approved list a cappella..... Auditions will be judged in a similar fashion to the live audition cities and a select number will advance to the next round of callbacks in Los Angeles."
Meanwhile, singer/actress Jennifer Lopez will served as American Idol judge as she signed a 1-year contract deal worth $12 million. She is joining Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler in the judges’ panel.
