2011 is supposed to be a fresh start for Lindsay Lohan but the troubled actress is again on the hot seat and reportedly she will be facing felony grand theft charge after allegedly stealing a "high-end necklace" from a jewelry store.
According to TMZ, Lindsay will be charged by the L.A. County District Attorney as early as Monday. If convicted, she's facing up to 3 years in a state prison.
For Lindsay's defense, she claims "it was loaned to her and a stylist simply forgot to return".
LiLo's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley strongly denies the stealing allegations and their prepared to fight the case, saying:
"We vehemently deny these allegations and, if charges are filed, we will fight them in court, not in the press."
Kamofie & Company presented to the investigators their surveillance video and photos of Lindsay wearing the said "one-of-a-kind necklace" worth $2,500. The jewelry store also reiterated that strict policies and procedures must be done first before receiving a loan jewelry.
Lindsay is still on probation and remains subject to random drug and alcohol testing relating to a 2007 DUI.
