Jojo Alejar to play Mac Olarte in ABS-CBN's Betty La Fea

Funnyman and Qtv11 Late night talkshow host Jojo A. (Jojo Alejar) is joining the Kapamilya network in the upcoming Betty La Fea (Philippine series).

ABS-CBN tapped his services to play Mac Olarte, one of the bosses for Eco Moda (fashion design company). He will be paired with Miss World 1993 Second Princess Ruffa Gutierrez (as Daniela).

In one of his interview, Jojo says he had to do a series of interviews and a series of make-up tests which are actually very good, very professionally done. It was based on the merits that you have which will suit the character you have to portray. Hindi ka lang kinuha because sikat ka or what. Basically, you have to earn the part.”

Originally a Colombian series, Betty La Fea's success has reached and has been re-produced in over 13 countries worldwide.

I've been watching this late night show everyday since last year and it's a good alternative to watch. The show that airs every night at 11:00 p.m. gave viewers some laughs together with informative topics before they sleep and it also give opportunity to new artist.

Since Monday the "Sobrang Gudnite Show" is airing replays and has stopped taping new episodes for the said shows. Reportedly, the talk show is encountering financial problem and in need of Advertisers sponsorship.

Jojo A. was interview by Yugel Losorata and said that the host is remain optimistic that they will be able to resolve the problem.

Jojo said, "We’ll be airing replays in the next weeks and we’re still not sure whether we can continue the show because of lack of sponsors. We don’t have a problem with the ratings and we’re receiving good feedbacks naman from the viewers. Pero since block timer kami and hindi masyado pumapasok ang mga sponsors, we’re experiencing problems pagdating sa finances."

Many late night viewers will be disappointed if this show will bid goodbye this early.
