Another Filipino pride! Amazing achievement from Pinay model Danica Flores Magpantay as she took home the 2011 Ford Supermodel of the World title, held in New York City last Saturday, January 22.
The prestigious international modeling event showcase models from over 50 countries in which the primary goal is to discover new talent for the fashion industry. The Ford Supermodel of the World was established by Eileen Ford in 1980.

The 17 year-old winner bagged $250,000 modeling contract with Ford Models. Runner-ups recognition goes to the representatives from Lithuania and Poland.
Danica's Supermodel genes came from her mother Milagros ‘Lala’ Flores, who was also named Ford Supermodel of the World-Philippines 1980.
