Sam Worthington is set for "Texas Killing Fields"

Sam Worthington will be solving some cold cases in the upcoming mystery-murder flick "Texas Killing Fields", directed by Ami Canaan Mann.

It is a true story about police officers who undertook to solve two decades of disappearances and homicides -- totalling as many as 60 victims. - Variety

Meanwhile, Sam also stars in Warner Bros.' epic "Clash of the Titans," due out April 2. He was set to join spy-thriller remake "The Tourist" but decided to dropped out.

Johnny Depp in negotiation for "The Tourist"

Even though they experienced some bump in the upcoming spy-thriller remake "The Tourist", it is definitely an upgrade. Sam Worthington decided to dropped out and reportedly Johnny Depp is in talks to replace him.

Male lead Sam Worthington has fallen off, and Johnny Depp is in negotiations to replace him.

Additionally, after flirting with the project, director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck has moved on, and Alfonso Cuaron is in early talks to step in. Bharat Nalluri was once attached to direct, with Tom Cruise in the lead role.

The Tourist is about an Interpol agent (Jolie) in Europe who manipulates an American tourist (Worthington Depp) in an attempt to flush out an elusive criminal who was her former lover.

Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp will be an exciting combination and certified box-office team up.

von Donnersmarck - top choice to helm "The Tourist"

After a couple of changes in the lead cast, Spyglass is now eying Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck to helm the espionage-thriller flick "The Tourist".

According to Variety, "is poised to make "Tourist" her next project over several other offers, including Universal's sequel to "Wanted." Spyglass came to her weeks ago, but her participation was contingent on finding the right director. After meetings with several helmers, von Donnersmarck was deemed that guy on Friday night, insiders said."

The production will start in February for the 2011 release.

This remake movie was set for Tom Cruise and Charlize Theron but later on it was shifted to Angelina Jolie and Terminator Salvation star Sam Worthington.

Sam Worthington joins Charlize Theron in spy thriller "The Tourist"

Terminator Salvation star Sam Worthington will team up with the alluring Charlize Theron in the upcoming espionage flick "The Tourist". It a remake of the 2005 French spy thriller Anthony Zimmer.

The role given to Sam Worthington was originally offered to Tom Cruise but he dropped out.

According to Variety, The Tourist is about an Interpol agent (Theron) in Europe who manipulates an American tourist (Worthington) in an attempt to flush out an elusive criminal who was her former lover.

Worthington is also cast in James Cameron’s Avatar, out in December.
