Mario Lopez & Courtney Mazza: "Thought We Were Having a Boy"

A delightful bliss of feeling is now rushing in with first time dad Mario Lopez for her daughter Gia Francesca but the funny thing is that Mario admits that he and girlfriend Courtney Mazza actually expecting a boy.

The Extra host told UsMag, "My girl thought we were having a boy the whole time. "I found it funny."

With baby Gia Francesca's arrival, the theme of baby's room changes.

"There's pink everywhere!" Lopez said, adding that Mazza, "is an awesome mom, a natural."

Describing The baby's routine, Lopez said:

"She's awesome. She's all about sleeping and eating. She has a good life right now. I'm envious."

Mario Lopez & Courtney Mazza welcomes baby girl Gia Francesca

Actor/TV host Mario Lopez and his girlfriend Courtney Mazza welcomed their first child and it's a baby girl!

Courtney gave birth in Burbank, California on Saturday, September 11 and they named the newborn Gia Francesca Lopez. The baby weighs 6 lbs., 4 oz.

Mario told Extra, “We are so overjoyed. What an amazing, wonderful and overwhelming experience to welcome our daughter into the world.”

Taking advantage of his first fatherhood experience, Mario's planned is to write a book and create a reality show.

"There's so much out there for women but not so much for men, and I want to be a very hands-on dad," he said.

"I think having a humorous but informative way to tell that story would be great for a show."

He is seeing a big dollar sign with his new experience and with reality shows are booming, Mario want to just a piece of the pie.

Mario Lopez is very excited to be a dad

TV host Mario Lopez and his girlfriend Courtney Mazza are delighted to announced that their expecting their first child.

In a statement, Mario said, "Courtney and I couldn't be more excited. I've waited my whole life to be a dad, this is a true blessing. I am looking forward to sharing this experience with my family and my family at Extra."

Courtney Mazza will give birth this fall.
