Jared Lee Loughner, the horrible suspect in the tragic shooting outside a supermarket in Tucson, Arizona on Saturday (January 8). The assailant killed six people -- including a federal judge -- and 18 people were wounded in the shooting including Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords remained in critical but stable condition.
Loughner had railed against government "mind control" and he posted a series of disturbing videos to YouTube within the past month.
The judge ordered Loughner held without bail. A preliminary hearing was set for January 24.
